There are many things that benefit our health, there are also however many things that don’t and slouching is one of those things.  We may not think such a small thing makes a big difference, however slouching over your keyboard in the daily grind of work doesn’t just cause aches and pains, news just in has claimed it is linked to an unsightly double chin.

You may think this sounds ludicrous, however it in fact is very true, slouching at your desk in fact causes the muscles in your neck to shorten, which will in fact cause the face to droop slightly.

This is obviously the last thing we want, which is why we have gone out of our way to find a solution to the problem, especially as most of us spend our lives sitting next to the computer

There is a device on the market that keeps you sitting up right, once you have attached it to your office chair.  The results mean you will be sitting straighter and your hands won’t slump on the keyboard either!  You will instead leave the office minus the achy shoulders and in good form, which is great news if you have a fe cocktails with the girls planned!

If you want to look right on trend for 2011 then you need to be looking a little further a field, this is due to an all-new range of attire emerging from down under.  From statement leggings and cutesy dresses to chunky knits and laid back tees, Staple, Style Stalker, Mink Pink and Lucky 13 are this season’s heard of new names.  All of them offer a funky yet casual attire that can be worn with true Australian laid back style.

The all-new brand Staple have teamed this Australian laid-back style with an edgy London vibe, offering an assortment of slouchy tank tops, sophisticated silk blouses and peg leg trousers.  The designer duo behind this brand has recently released their line to the online fashion department store, ASOS.

Fans of the down under labels include the likes of Katy Perry, the singing pop star was recently seen nailing an off duty ensemble, sporting a uber cool sun hat, jewelled sandals and a statement tie die strappy number from the label Style Stalker.

Sienna Millar is another A-list celebrity that is already hot on the heels of the Australian brand style stalker and was seen sporting a Breton style tee; the actress teamed the piece with a faded denim pair of jeans, a cute cardigan and a statement red slouchy bag.

An assortment of fashionista’s won’t mind admitting they have just a little style crush on the actress Kate Bosworth and are constantly looking to her for style inspiration, especially when it comes to the latest trends for next season. The actress certainly ticks all the style boxes and often has us extremely envious, especially when it comes to her ever-covetable designer closet.

Last night Kate shone out in the orange Proenza Schouler number and certainly hit the red carpet in style. The dress was chosen for an event in New York and is from the high fashion label’s spring 2011 line. The eye-catching attire only just reached the runway a few weeks ago; obviously the designer however knew Kate could show it off at its best!

Proenza Schouler is proving to be one of the most watched shows of the season and this lucky trend setter has already managed to get her fashionable mitts on it! If only we could all have a wardrobe like Kate’s!

The must-have piece ends just above the knees and is finished with a black collar, Kate teamed the dress with a statement black bag, super high heels and laid-back locks.

After weeks of anticipation the high street favourite has finally unleashed the all new Lanvin for H&M collection. However the must-see pieces won’t hit stores until the 23rd of this month.
Alber Elbaz has created an assortment of designs for the high street giant, which are all due to go live in November, an advertisement of what is to be expected from the collection has been released, meaning budding customers can start their shopping lists early. The short advertisement features an assortment of renowned models, all sporting a new piece from the exciting collaboration. The collection is said to be as good as any of the other lines that have been previously created by the fashion forward Alber Elbaz, who is the renowned designer for the high end fashion label Lanvin.

Customers should expect to see a shop floor brimming at the rim, housing an assortment of must have party pieces and dresses that are ideal for any event you may have planned in the coming months and that are guaranteed to get you noticed at that Christmas do!

Must have and sought after pieces include the statement and beautifully adorned versions of the infamous embellished T-shirts that have been firmly at the top of our wish lists for many seasons now. Customers should also look forward to the accessories that are about to be revealed, such pieces will be the perfect finishing touch to that newly purchased outfit.

You better mark down the 23rd of November in those diaries as we are pretty sure every item from the line will be flying off the shelves!

In the United States, Forever 21 is one of the most popular high street stores existing and is a favourite of many a fashionista. Forever 21 offers a mixture of styles, a little like a cross between Urban Outfitters, H&M and New Look, the brand is certainly a fashionable favourite for many ages. The brand first opened its doors in 1984 and since then has opened an impressive total of 400 stores across the United States, including an immense flagship store in New York.

Forever 21 is Renowned for its affordable yet super sophisticated and stylish pieces and because of this we think it will be just as big a hit in the U.K, good news then that it’s finally decided to hit our shores.

So far talks are in progress of two separate stores being opening in the UK, locations include The Bullring in Birmingham and The Jervis Centre in Dublin and both will be available for viewing in the very near future, in fact next month. However do not panic if you don’t live in either of these areas, the brand will also be launching an online store too.

The stylish supermodel Kate Moss has revealed some extremely exciting news; the A-list celebrity in fact intends to launch a collection of all-new bags for next season. The arm candy is set to go live in January and the model will be collaborating with the high fashion label Longchamp. Kate has been a regular model for the brand for quite some time now and collaborating with the label seemed like a natural step for the model to take.

Longchamps’ CEO is currently Jean Cassegrain and is said to be very excited about such a partnership. Kate has revealed that the new lines are her ‘dream bags’ and that she has designed something that she personally would want to wear. It’s a good job that we all admire her for her style then!

The designs are said to offer both a contemporary but classic appeal and each piece has been created to last, rather than to only be in style for one or two seasons. The model turned designer has recently showcased a few of John Galliano’s creations for London Fashion Week, working alongside Christy Turlington and fellow models Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista. Such moments are a must see for fashion fans everywhere. Kate always looks super stylish; we therefore can’t wait to see what creations she comes up with the Longchamp brand!

It has officially been announced that the high street brand H&M are making plans to team up with the top designer, Lanvin.

The fashion world is going crazy with the exciting news that the high street giant, H&M are to collaborate with the designer brand Lanvin for its next in store collection. The rumours of such collaboration have been flying around for sometime now but they have officially now been confirmed true and that the women’s and men’s collections will be in stores from November.

We all can’t wait to see how Lanvin’s luxury creations will interpret onto the high street; we only have a few months to wait however.

Lanvin’s artistic director, the infamous Alber Elbaz has reportedly stated that in the past he would never have dreamed of creating a mass-market collection, but the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public is what finally intrigued him to do so.

This has been an outstanding implementation, which shows how two companies at opposite ends of the spectrum can work really well together. This work relationship is said to be so strong due to the fact both names share the same philosophy of transporting both joy and beauty to men and women around the world.

The collections will initially be revealed on 2nd of November and then appear in stores on 23rd of November. You better get this date noted down in your diaries promptly as we can only imagine customers will be queuing from the early hours!

Designers left, right and centre have this season been throwing free clothes at the Art Director, Julia Restoin Roitfield, and this courtship may however have something to do with Julia being the daughter of the much-loved French fashion editor, Carine Roitfield and Christian Restoin, the former owner of the label Equipment.

Growing up in such a fashion forward environment is one of the reasons Julia is so intrigued by both creativity in the design and fashion world and possibly why she decided to begin a career in such a creative industry.

Julia spends most of her time in either Paris or New York, both places are extreme fashion capitals and also the reason why the Art Director and model has an adopted such a cultivated and signature style.
One of the art director’s and model’s proudest moments is said to be starring as Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, which has been described as the ‘Ford flotilla’ of fragrance and cosmetics initiatives.

Julia appears in the full-colour campaign images, which were photographed by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Roitfeld is showcases striking glossy long locks, dramatic red nails and matching lips. The model appears clutching the bottle in a boudoir-like atmosphere. Tom Ford said he chose Julia to front this particular campaign as he believes her to be “exactly what beauty is.

Every now and then an existing brand introduces a new collection that creates a bit of a stir, one that we all want to shout about!  One such label this season goes under the name of Superdry.  The of the moment brand initially launched their line back in 2003, the inspiration for the label was taken from a previous trip to the exciting city of Tokyo.  The brands creator, Julian Dunkerton began selling a few individual items on a market street stall in Cheltenham, teaming up with James Holden who is the founder of the renowned skater label Bench.

In just a period of seven years, the label has grown phenomenally and is now a firm favourite of many celebs.  This is pretty impressive since Superdry started their career with a total of only three t-shirts and has now gained cult status!  The range now boasts to release a total of three thousand pieces a year.

The label is now globally recognised and pieces in the collection have recently been seen adorning the likes of the singer Pixie Lott, the actress Kate Winslet, the footballer David Beckham, the chef Jamie Oliver, the actor Leonardo Dicaprio and the suprmodel Helena Chritensen.

Current favourites in the collection include chunky belted cardigans, quilted winter boots, vintage thrift pieces, the statement infamous Superdry logo tee, the standard checked boyfriend shirt and of course the denim, available as both hotpants and distressed jeans.  One of the must have pieces for next season is the jacket, which comes in the shape of a cool leather belted biker style that will most certainly be on every fashionista Christmas wish list!

The high fashion label Mulberry recently hosted a pool party we all would have loved to been invited to! The stylish bash took place in the city of LA and was held in order to launch the brands exciting new A/W 2010 collection.

Some of the most stylish faces in fashion appeared at the do which took place in Chateau Marmont, where arrays of cocktails were sipped around the pool. One famous face was Alexa Chung who appeared to be very tanned and took the position of the resident DJ for the evening at the uber trendy after-party, the stylish star looked exquisite in a silk crème blouse, cut-off denim shorts and of course her fail safe Kurt Geiger sandals. To finish the look off and in order to pay tribute to the host, the model sported an eye-catching new season piece from the Mulberry label, a leopard version of her eponymous sell-out bag. We are sure this piece will be the next bag on every fashionista’s ‘must-have’ list.

Alexa was joined by good friend and singer Kelly Osbourne, who wore a chic black dress ensemble and a pair of this season’s retro specs. Model and actress Kate Bosworth also attended the event and looked super stylish as always in a graphic print tee, cut off denim jeans, towering stilettos and a fashionable over the shoulder leopard print clutch. .

Other A-list celebrities that were seen included 90210’s Jessica Stroup, model and presenter Cat Deeley and Molly Sims. Apparently the party was such a hit that even guests from the Mad Men premiere across the road wanted a look in.
