This season has seen an assortment of new labels; a variety of chic collaborations and an array of must have buys, all of which ensure you will stand out from the crowd.
First up is Notting Hill Design, the of the moment label have introduced an uber cool clutch to the fashion scene and one which every fashionista will want to get their hands on! The latest edition to the already impressive Notting Hill design collection is entitled the ‘LoLA’ clutch and has certainly already proven itself to be a big hit with the A-list. The LoLA clutch is the perfect evening bag and an asset to any outfit. The bag is available to purchase online and is priced at £1,170.
The Lipsy label have also resurfaced this season with the introduction of a few fabulous printed numbers, the strapless pieces allow you to show off your smouldering shoulders whilst the evenings are still warm enough to sit outside. The uber chic pattern allows you to keep accessories at bay as the dress has that ‘wow’ factor all on its own. This little number is either available to purchase at any department stores stocking the brand or alternatively online for a price of £55.
Jean Paul Gaultier have the perfect pair of summer sandals to team with such a dress, they have been designed for the label Melissa and have certainly been causing quite a stir in the fashion world. The Melissa elly shoes are the latest collaboration from the top designer and are available to purchase from the prestigious department store Selfridges for a price of £160.

Blake Lively not only plays a main part in one this season’s top TV shows but is also proving herself to be a little bit of a style icon.
The actress may work the pretty, preppy; girl next-door look on screen but off screen is another story! The A-lister’s style has gone supersonic this summer, she has been seen wearing the likes of prestigious designers such as Chanel, Marchesa, Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson and Juicy Couture, and these are just a few of the designers flooding Blake’s much desired wardrobe.
Lively was seen chatting to US Vogue’s Anna Winter at the Paris Couture Shows, Wintour has in fact stated she is one of Lively’s biggest fans and to prove this Blake is to appear on the cover of Vogue for the second time in six months!
Despite having one of the most enviable wardrobes to date, the actress’s real passion is shoes. It has been reported that Lively has in fact purchased over three hundred pairs in the past two years alone, dedicating an entire closet to her much beloved footwear!
Her love for clothes and shoes began at a very young age, her mother who was a former model would tailor adult clothes to fit Blake as she didn’t want her to be seen in anything similar to the other children but instead as an individual. It’s however Blake’s naturalness and ease that really gets our attention, she doesn’t seem too perfect nor too sultry and this is exactly why she is quickly becoming recognised as a major fashion icon.

The Serpentine Gallery’s annual party is one of the must attend events of the summer, where a swarm of Britain’s famous faces put on their best gowns for the prestigious London gathering.
Guests merged under the gallery’s latest creation, which was designed by architect Jean Nouvel, the piece consisted a vivid red assembly complete with ping pong tables. The arrays of guests were then able to experience a performance from the infamous Dizzee Rascal.
When it came to wardrobes choices, there appeared to be two predominant themes on the evening, half of the fashionable crowd opted for a standard summer attire, whilst the other guests went for a classic and sophisticated look in black.
The model and actress Lily Cole wowed the crowds in a bright blue number and opted for an uber on trend maxi-dress, whilst stylist Caroline Sieber went all demure in a nude mini dress created in a romantic chiffon and lace and Donna Air went for the brights in a pretty turquoise number.
Those that rejected the bright colours in favour of classic black included the likes of Julia Restoin Roitfeld, who opted for a floor length black lace gown teamed with black and animal print enthused shoes. Margo Stilley was right on trend for this season and worked both a black and romantic look with an exquisite ruffled creation dress. Charlotte Dellal kept her look subtle in a bandeau maxi-dress and topped it with a shell inspired head piece. Grace Jones made a fashion statement as per usual by teaming a miniscule little black dress with a show-stopping hat.

Dominique Holmes is in fact an up and coming tattoo sensation who can often be found wearing the skinniest of jeans, statement towering stilettos and a retro rock tee, oh and of course her multitude of tattoos!
The rising tattoo star first became interested in body art at the very young age of 15, when she in fact got her very first tattoo. She now works as a tattoo artist completing two three- hour appointments daily and in addition to that three half hour consultations.
Holmes states that some tattoos can be created and completed within one consultation whilst others may take many more; she begins by firstly spending some time discussing ideas and concepts, creating a variety of sketches and then drawing up a final design. Every design created is a one off and up to five hours can be spent on each.
Most of Holmes clients are regulars and she already has a firm following of fans, stating that tattooing is an extremely personal experience as when you spend many hours with one same person you often build a bond. One of her favourite designs to date is a giant tattoo of a Japanese dragon.

One of last week’s biggest events to take place in Paris was the Haute Couture Fashion Week and it certainly created a massive roar in the fashion world! In fact the exciting and much anticipated show revealed a gold enthused lion, which appeared 45 foot in size, this particular piece was just one of the many highlights of the show and took a total of 6 months to create!
Paris Fashion Week usually reveals an array of A-list faces and money clad socialites and it’s no surprise with an array of extravagant and equally pricey gowns and accessories on offer. Each piece showcased resembled a work of art, some of which can only be described as Oscar appropriate attire.
Last week however revealed a new twist on the normally seen dress in the shape of a democratic style. Renowned fashion houses Chanel and Armani Prive introduced a series of easy tailored separates to their current collections that were in fact appeared appropriate for everyday on goings.
One of the main attractions however was the beaded creation by Givenchy; this particular creation took an immense total of 1600 to produce! Other much wanted pieces included the array of glittering lingerie that was showcased at John Paul Gaultier and modelled on Dita Von Teese.
All in all the evening failed to disappoint, leaving many of us dreaming of wearing such attire.

The designer duo, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are this season set to release an exciting new range of extremely stylish sunglasses. The collection will be introduced in the very near future for the girl’s Elizabeth and James label.
In the latest of a series of fashion forays, the Olsen sisters have worked with the likes of the first-class Hong Kong manufacturer Absolute Black in order to produce a sunglasses line which will launch in November. This will coincide with resort 2010.
The first range will consist of two different styles and both will reflect the very New York Olsen design emotional response. Pieces such as Hudson, will offer an up-to-the-minute take on the aviator, and Fairfax, will introduce a feline and retro frame. Both of the uber chic and statement designs will be created in sleek black acetate with various gold embellishments.
The designer duo and fashionable pair wick be announcing the launch later this week and the twins are reportedly extremely excited to add a collection of sunglasses to the current Elizabeth and James brand. The stylish pair has been working with the designers at the Absolute Black brand from across the globe. They have in fact been carrying out design meetings through using Skype. This may seem like an unconventional process but it is certainly one that has revealed an extremely positive outcome, the planned growth and introduction of the line will be showcased in the spring of 2011.
The next step for the girl’s is said to be a handbag collection, we can’t wait to see the creations both Ashley and Mary-Kate come up with. The stylish shades will be obtainable from November and can be purchased from the prestigious department store Harvey Nichols.

The iconic fashion house and luxury luggage label, Louis vuitton have this season taken on a new and exciting project, one that is certainly a step in a different direction to their standard creations.
This season sees the brand unveil a new item of luxury luggage; however this year’s much anticipated creation is one that the general public can’t get their hands on and certainly one you won’t see sashaying down the runway delicately draped on a model’s arm. That is because the high fashion house is in fact unveiling the official world cup trophy case.
So for all those devoted Louis Vuitton followers who believe themselves to own the entire collection of monogrammed Vuitton luxury luggage may be in for a surprise.
The most to date piece of luxury luggage from the French fashion house can not be purchased; it has in fact been specially commissioned and custom created for the infamous World Cup creators FIFA. The design will be the home for the much cherished world cup trophy and will safely transport the trophy into the winning hands at the tournament’s final in July.
The World Cup Trophy case will be introduced by the supermodel Naomi Campbell later this week. The case has been designed with the brands impeccably style in mind and offers the upholstered trademark monogram canvas, embellished with brass hardware and a solid 18 carat gold core.

The Cameron’s have now moved into the infamous Number 10 and all eyes are on Samantha. The question on everyone’s lips is will she become the next high-powered lady of British fashion?
The past two years have portrayed Sarah Brown as an extremely well-esteemed face in the world of British fashion. Her impressive closet consists of an array of designer pieces, these include collaborations from big name designers such as Osman Yousefzada and also the designer Erdem.
The fashionable lady in fact opened London Fashion Week, appeared at the ELLE Style Awards and was also seen on stage at the British Fashion Awards. Sarah Brown has also become great pals of the super model, Naomi Campbell. .
Though we will continue to admire this leading ladies style, our eyes have been caught by another woman in power. Samantha Cameron certainly looks set to become the next representative in the UK fashion trade. She already has an impressive set of fashion credentials, including taking the title of the creative director of the stylish stationary brand Smythson. Samantha spent the last fourteen years transforming the company into an extravagant label and one that is certainly adored by the fashion savvy crowd. She was also the initiator of the recent design alliances with both Erdem and Giles Deacon.
Despite having a husband with a top career, Samantha has said she wishes to continue her own designer role as well as also employing any political duties that may arise,.
The new leading lady certainly has a keen eye for style and was seen at both the Erdem and Burberry shows at London Fashion Week. Regardless of this she still opted for an M&S dress to wear at the Conservative Party Conference and has also been seen on numerous occasions sporting a pair of retro Converse trainers. She has shown us that both designer and high street items work well together and conger up an understated yet timeless style
