If you really want to take this trend to town then team your arm candy with your shoes.  Wear a hot hued polish in a different shade for extra style points.

Take some style notes from Nicole and Nik Reed, both have this trend nailed and were each seen sporting uber colourful rainbow heels at a recent awards!

Take a shot of the fashionistas from Asia.  They certainly know how to jazz up an otherwise subtle outfit if ever!

Apart from their wonderfully bright garments, the black Louboutin heels and Dior lady bags are very much in trend.  Colour is cool this season and we should all be taking inspiration from the catwalks.  Experiment with unexpected and individual combinations for best results.  Stack your wardrobe with the pick of the best bright skirts, dresses, jackets, and get ready to mix up your colour style combos.

With colour so hot right now, even the dull days are going to seem brighter, especially if the cat walks are anything to go by!

Bouffant beehives

Bouffant beehives

Yes that trend you used to associate with the oldies is now hot off the runway for now!  Firstly, in order to create such a style, you will need to really work the backcombing in order to create the biggest bouffant ever!

With so many of the A-list working this style, it is no wonder we all want to give it a go for 2011.  The best thing about this style is you can work it into any ones locks!  Whether you have short, long, curly, frizzy, messy or fly away fine hair, this style can be worked into your locks.

Rhianna, Gwen Stefani and the Vivienne Westwood models are all sporting such a look, Salma Hayek and Bryce Dallas Howard offer a more low-key version and Vera Wang took it over board!  Vivienne Westwood even added a few extra clips to make it a little more individual and the best news, you to can create such a look in a few simple steps!

Firstly prep the mane with a volume root energiser; this will add texture to your beehive.

Section the hair horizontally from ear to ear and then begin the backcombing!

Sweep the hair to one side and slide curby grips in vertically, roll the extra hair in.

Finally spray with a gloss control hold and shine spray.  This will both gloss-up the style and hold it in place.  Voilla you have your very own beehive!

It is the season to be colourful

It is the season to be colourful

We are well into the summer months now, however there are a few more to go and what better excuse than to embrace colour…at least whilst the sun is shining!

There are however a few tips and a rule or two to take note of when colourfully styling your summer attire.  One such rule being never go overboard!  Too much will just make the people around you want to don the shades for other reasons than the sun!  A subtle statement is always better than over kill and you will appreciated much more by your fashionable friends for it!  Try adding a colourful hat to an otherwise subtle outfit or a statement ring, necklace or head band to neutral shades.  Set off a black dress with super bright accessories rather than wearing the same colour.

This season is certainly embracing hot hues and all the stars appear to have donned such outfits at the A-list events this season.  Think hot orange, brilliant baby and bright blue, turquoise and canary yellow!  All are very much in and will have you at the top of the style charts!

Other things to take note of is the style of the piece you intend to wear, fitted pieces often work better with colour as appose to over sized items.  Opt for a bright green or blue body sculpting dress, you will be the bell of the ball at your next do!

Party fashions, all glammed up or tailored essentials?

Party fashions, all glammed up or tailored essentials?

This season you usually have three options; these include an over the top and completely glammed up look, a festival or music event style and a tailored office or smart look.  All of the above three looks are all suitable for different events, however a must-have!

If you are planning on starting a new line of work or simply updating your work wear clobber then tailored essentials are for you and in order to be right in style this year, keep it cool with summery nudes.  There is certainly a shade to suit everyone from deep mocha to light lovely nudes.

Festivals are big this time of year and why not team two hit trends together for 2011, work a chiffon maxi skirt with a floral top and you’ll be right on trend!  This is a style that will look like it has just stepped off the 2011 catwalks and will also keep you stylishly cool whilst dancing in time to your favourite festival tunes and acts!  Finally there is the all glammed up look, which is a look that every girl needs now and then.  Think statement style, hot hues, pretty prints and killer heel.  Tie the look together with an on trend jacket, a clutch and a few over sized and in style jewels!  Add a lot of oomph to your hair and get ready to go.  This is certainly a style to suit any nights out or proms you may have on the cards.

A healthy approach

A healthy approach

There are many things that benefit our health, there are also however many things that don’t and slouching is one of those things.  We may not think such a small thing makes a big difference, however slouching over your keyboard in the daily grind of work doesn’t just cause aches and pains, news just in has claimed it is linked to an unsightly double chin.

You may think this sounds ludicrous, however it in fact is very true, slouching at your desk in fact causes the muscles in your neck to shorten, which will in fact cause the face to droop slightly.

This is obviously the last thing we want, which is why we have gone out of our way to find a solution to the problem, especially as most of us spend our lives sitting next to the computer

There is a device on the market that keeps you sitting up right, once you have attached it to your office chair.  The results mean you will be sitting straighter and your hands won’t slump on the keyboard either!  You will instead leave the office minus the achy shoulders and in good form, which is great news if you have a fe cocktails with the girls planned!

Priced at just £7.99 we think this is a bargain!

Balancing act

Balancing act

When it comes to hiding flaws and enhancing assets you need to be in the know if you want to create the illusion of a svelte figure.  Layering with a jacket or tee is a great way to flatter a fuller bust, wrap tops are perfect for this…the cinched in waist will create the illusion of a tiny waist and the v-neckline of your shirt will compliment the bust

A skirt is another must-have item in any wardrobe and a-line styles are best suited to those with a fuller shape.  This is mainly because they match your fuller bustline and in turn this will keep you looking proportional.  If you like your skirts to be tucked in and smart, opt or a skirt with a slightly lower waistline, this will create the effect of a longer torso, which will in turn make you look taller and slimmer than you actually are.

Avoiding mini skirts is a must as these may look a little over the top when teamed with an enviable bust region; try instead a smart pencil skirt in order to show off your curves, especially if you have average or larger hips.  This teamed with a smaller waist is the perfect fuller figure and one that will be the envy of all of your friends.

Trousers are another wardrobe essential, whatever your shape.  If you wish for your trousers to hide your hip, opt for a slightly wider style, this will allow the fabric to skim over the hips.

Avoid skinny styles at all costs as such a look will make you appear top heavy, enhancing your bust even more so.

If you have an evening do on the cards you will more than likely want to choose a sexy evening number?  Romantic attire is very much in this season and a piece with both a structured bodice and an a-line skirt will work to enhance and balance your natural shape

The ultimate must follow rules when it comes to shopping stamina

The ultimate must follow rules when it comes to shopping stamina

Firstly if you want to beat the crowds, you must start early in order to bypass any disappointment.  If you have seen a dress advertised in a magazine or online you will more than likely be one of a million people that have seen that dress and it is therefore more than likely to be swiped off the rails no sooner than it was put on them!

Shopping for your must-haves early is also a must if you want to see the trees for the forest, as once the hoard of fashion hungry individuals have hit the shop floor you can forget about neatly organised rails and immaculately designed shelving displays.  Why not hit the likes of favourite high street stores such as Topshop early and you will feel like Sir Philip Green has opened the doors of his store for only you!

Despite heels being high in fashion, you are not Victoria Beckham and shopping in 5 inch stilettos won’t do you any favours if you want to get to the last dress on the rail before any one else does!  Keep the heels for the evenings on the town and opt for cutesy flats or embellished flat sandals for the day shopping trips!

Most importantly remember to have fun, take the girls with you and stop for regular coffee breaks, remember us girls must keep hydrated!
