Beauty trends at the Golden Globes are always something to take note of; this year’s awards showcased a mix of anything goes hair and make-up created in a painting by numbers fashion.
Hair looks were certainly different and there were a mix of asymmetric down-do’s, seen on the actress Anne Hathaway, Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie and Milla Jovovich. All of the above oozed a definite Hollywood glamour and each wore their hair in healthy, glossy, volumised curls or waves and the locks were worn swept to the front on one side and to the back on the other.
The singer Jennifer Lopez and Julianne Moore went for something equally as elegant but never the less somewhat more low key by sporting a seriously sleek and sophisticated ponytail style; Julianne chose an uber chic and timeless centre parting, whilst Jennifer went for a more definite style which appeared in a slicked-back fashion. She added a touch of her statement bling with one of this season’s must have diamond hair clips. This is the perfect style for a dinner date or a high-end evening out and will go well will a demure dress number.
Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Amy Adams, Natalie Portman, Lea Michele and Eva Longoria all went for one of the most popular hair styles of the season and worked a series of elegant and romantic up-dos. These came in the shape of classic chignons, faux bobs with loose tendrils and softened quaffs, all of the above tick all the right trend boxes when it comes to spring and summer styles for 2011.
