Colour blocking is this summer’s hottest trend! Why not get ahead in the style stakes and invest in a few of this season’s in fashion shades!

Why not brighten up a few other assets asides from your closet! Make-up can make a big difference to your whole outfit, and this year is all about knocking down those barriers when it come to hot hues and bold brights.

This season is all about the rainbow enthused heels, this is certainly a shoe trend on par with Mac make-up and is brighter than ever!  However we have donned the conclusion that every pair is an investment.  As more colours intend to go with  more outfits!  This is certainly a great reason to pick up a pair and remember if you go for suedette opt for a hot hot hue as these will luxe up a budget look!

If you really want to take this trend to town then team your arm candy with your shoes.  Wear a hot hued polish in a different shade for extra style points.

Take some style notes from Nicole and Nik Reed, both have this trend nailed and were each seen sporting uber colourful rainbow heels at a recent awards!

Take a shot of the fashionistas from Asia.  They certainly know how to jazz up an otherwise subtle outfit if ever!

We are well into the summer months now, however there are a few more to go and what better excuse than to embrace colour…at least whilst the sun is shining!

There are however a few tips and a rule or two to take note of when colourfully styling your summer attire.  One such rule being never go overboard!  Too much will just make the people around you want to don the shades for other reasons than the sun!  A subtle statement is always better than over kill and you will appreciated much more by your fashionable friends for it!  Try adding a colourful hat to an otherwise subtle outfit or a statement ring, necklace or head band to neutral shades.  Set off a black dress with super bright accessories rather than wearing the same colour.

This season is certainly embracing hot hues and all the stars appear to have donned such outfits at the A-list events this season.  Think hot orange, brilliant baby and bright blue, turquoise and canary yellow!  All are very much in and will have you at the top of the style charts!

Other things to take note of is the style of the piece you intend to wear, fitted pieces often work better with colour as appose to over sized items.  Opt for a bright green or blue body sculpting dress, you will be the bell of the ball at your next do!

From statement rainbow heels to espadrilles, we have all the knowledge you need to get it right this summer.  Heels are great for an evening on the tiles, however not so good when it comes to dancing round a feel a music do!  That’s wear the flats come in and its a good job there are an assortment available for 2011 as I’m sure you have many concerts marked down in your diary.

Espadrilles are the perfect off-duty casual cool shoe must-haves when it comes to stylish flats, not only do they look awesome with long flowing pretty boho style dresses, they also look top with statement skinnies and shorts.

The likes of various A-list celebs have recently been seen sporting this style and not only do they look effortlessy cool, they are also one of this season’s top trends!  If you are looking for an update on your trusted ballet pumps this is definitely it!  Choose colours such as red, pink, grey, baby off blue or alternatively go for a pretty print number and opt for floral shades or even a pair with a cutesy water melon image on, like the hot hued pair from Topshop!

This season is really about standing out from the crowd!!  It has been made official that colourful clobber is the only way to proceed if you want to stay in tune with the latest style charts!

And when we say colour…we really mean colour!  Think hot hues, statement brights, in your face neons and super duper pastels!  Indulge away in this trend and is it most certainly set to stay…the Autumn catwalks were full of hot shades and they are only set to continue into the future!

One such brand to take this colour to the maximum is Marc Jacobs, however he is making more of a statement in the accessory isle and has only recently released a statement purple tinged watch that is to die for!  It’s most certainly this season’s answer to must-have arm candy and even though the price tag may seem a little steep, the £200 will actually only set you back 54 pence a day if you wear it all the time.  When you see this little number we can’t imagine you will be taking it off in a hurry!

Team this little number with an otherwise subtle outfit for an instant hit of colour, you will be the envy of all your fashion forward friends!

Other things to take note of this season include colourful turbans, we saw these make an appearance not too long ago but now they seem to be back for summer.  Not only will they hide tired locks, they will also keep the sun off your head…what’s not too love?

Spring is just around the corner, which means a new season of trends are well on their way into our wardrobes.  Updates for this year come in the shape of a new era of colour-popping, hue-heightening fun with flora and fauna prints taking centre stage.  This season’s patterns have been tipped as one of the biggest stories of the year.

If you want to get ahead of the fashion crowd then why not embark on this stylish trend early, it will most certainly brighten up your current winter’s wardrobe and is a great way to update any existing duller items.  Simply embark on a few layering techniques and add some kitsch, bold accessories to the ensemble.

If you desire a little style inspiration then be sure to take your inspiration from the likes of the top Brazilian model Carmen Miranda or alternatively the fashionable style savvy icon, Miuccia Prada, she was recently seen sporting an over the top pair of to die for earrings at the September shows.  This season’s fashion may appear to be in the style of last season’s bad taste but this year it’s about bad taste being good taste.

When it comes to the above trend look to the fashion designers Stella McCartney, Miu Miu and Prada for style ideas.  They will certainly give you a little bold inspiration when it comes to working those bright hues!  However you must be one of the more daring fashionista’s out there in order to pull anyone of the all-new statement pieces off!

Cocktail rings are right on trend for this season and what better way to finish an outfit than with a little statement finger candy?

This season has really gone over the top with the jewellery and rings are popping up left, right and centre.

This seasons top ten ring connoisseurs include the jewellery designer Galibardy, the shoe store Aldo, the high street fashion boutique Miss Selfridge, the jewellery favourite Thomas Sabo, the fashion house Pebble, the designer Peter Lang, Nicole Ritchie’s jewellery company the House of Harlow, the brand Lola Rose, the fashion store Dorothy Perkins and of course the jewellery boutique Accessorize.

All of the above names and brands are great names to look to if you wish to invest in a little something that will really set your outfit off.  Whether you are looking for something slightly subtle, something extremely glitzy, a ring that screams on trend or a coloured stone piece, anyone of the above designers certainly has something to suit all!

This season’s cocktail rings seem to have a certain rock edge to them and come in the shape of brass horned bulls, skulls embellished with rock diamonds and rings that take up not one, but a total of three fingers.

One of the hottest new trends of this season is to mix-match colours in neon shades and hot hues. There are no rules as far as this trend is concerned, as long as you clash your colours, you will be right on trend for 2010.

Instead of the standard subtle blended shades you might wear as your daily look, choose a contrasting palette in order to create a statement and dramatic effect that screams look at me. Green and purple shades work well together and are right on trend for this summer. Try No7’s Stay Perfect Eye shadow in Emerald, this can be picked up from any beauty counter stocking the brand and is priced at £7.50. The A-list renowned Make up artist, Caroline Barnes has revealed a series of make up secrets, which will in turn give your complexion an n injection of that much needed and extremely flattering colour. The new Max Factor Colour Effect Range is the perfect summer essential that offers a variety of intense shades in the shape of eye shadows, mascaras, lip glosses and liquid eye liners. All of these products offer a fresh take on colour with shades that are perfect for this season.

For best results the eye shadows should be applied to eyes with pre groomed eye brows. The Max Effect Dip In Eye Shadow in Ultra Violet should then be swept across the top lids and smeared all the way up into the socket. It seems that it was a competition to see who could the loudest colour arrangements at this season’s Haute Couture shows. The predominant beauty theme paid strong attention to fantasyland style indications, these ranged in style from Aztec to Avatar looks. In terms of colour, hues and shades were revealed to be extremely playful with an almost ‘wonderland’ feel. High fashion house Armani revealed a series of delicate soft pastels, whilst Chanel went for statement neon coral lips. John Paul Gaultier opted for pretty rainbow eyes where as Dior went in a different direction and worked the block colours. High fashion house Valentino went for a more statement look and created a series of unique make-up masks.

Even the hair styles showcased changing levels of colour introductions running through the various model’s locks. Alexis Mabille revealed half-hair wigs whilst Chanel’s extreme larger-than-life hair bows showcased hues of grey and pretty girly pastel extensions were all the rage at Valentino.

The combinations of colours revealed at the Haute Couture shows included statement shiny and radiant navy eyes teamed with hot fiery red lips at Givenchy, these shades in fact revealed a more contemporary look when paired together than they would when worn separately. This season is certainly suggesting that we shouldn’t be afraid to experiment with different hues and shades of colour.
