The Serpentine Gallery’s annual party.

The Serpentine Gallery’s annual party is one of the must attend events of the summer, where a swarm of Britain’s famous faces put on their best gowns for the prestigious London gathering.

Guests merged under the gallery’s latest creation, which was designed by architect Jean Nouvel, the piece consisted a vivid red assembly complete with ping pong tables. The arrays of guests were then able to experience a performance from the infamous Dizzee Rascal.

When it came to wardrobes choices, there appeared to be two predominant themes on the evening, half of the fashionable crowd opted for a standard summer attire, whilst the other guests went for a classic and sophisticated look in black.

The model and actress Lily Cole wowed the crowds in a bright blue number and opted for an uber on trend maxi-dress, whilst stylist Caroline Sieber went all demure in a nude mini dress created in a romantic chiffon and lace and Donna Air went for the brights in a pretty turquoise number.

Those that rejected the bright colours in favour of classic black included the likes of Julia Restoin Roitfeld, who opted for a floor length black lace gown teamed with black and animal print enthused shoes. Margo Stilley was right on trend for this season and worked both a black and romantic look with an exquisite ruffled creation dress. Charlotte Dellal kept her look subtle in a bandeau maxi-dress and topped it with a shell inspired head piece. Grace Jones made a fashion statement as per usual by teaming a miniscule little black dress with a show-stopping hat.
