Lovely lingerie is certainly on the agenda for 2010; it seems however, that the pieces that have been created this season are just far too pretty to be hidden under our clothes.

From corsets to bustier’s the A-list are certainly embracing this trend and the likes of Dita Von Teese, Dakota Fanning, Rihanna, Kate Winslet and Lily Allen are just a few of the stars working such a look.

Underwear is everywhere and it is proving to be one look that is ruling the runways this year as well as the red carpet. Whether you choose cute and sporty or high fashion and high waisted, this season’s underwear is guaranteed to make you feel both beautiful and luxurious.

Underwear has most definitely shot up in the fashion stakes this winter and offers the perfect look for the party season. Whether you choose to create a subtle look and flash a little hint of a neon coloured bra strap or go all the way and work your bustier or bra as a top, there is no doubt that underwear has gained even more of a status this year.

This trend is partly about reliving the nineties moment as this was the era where bra top morphed into evening attire, especially when teamed with laid back dungarees. The nineties were in fact when Madonna was at the forefront of fashion and it was the singing icon that reinvented the corset.

First up are the new denim dimension and the high-street label Diesel Jeans. Diesel Jeans have recently launched an all-new collection of denim in the shape of a unique 12 piece capsule collection. The edgy punk princess Uffie is the face behind the new range and mixes both an electro-pop style with experimental denim. Some of the pieces have combined leather inserts with their standard denim material in order to create an edgy on-trend look for S/S 2011.

Statement and favourite pieces have been both customised and reworked in order to create a rock n roll, punk look with a vintage edge.

The Uffie Jaduffie Denim Jumpsuit will set you back a neat £300 and the Uffie black leather biker jacket costs a price of £560. Both pieces however will be a definite investment for your spring and summer 2011 wardrobe and each item boasts to add an instant biker edge to any outfit.

The fashion connoisseurs ELLE have recently had some what of a makeover and have introduced an assortment of new categories to their site, which go under the titles Style and Shop.

The concept behind the all new features will reveal an array of ‘of the moment’ trends and design news from all the fashion forward people in the industry. A series of designers, actresses, models and muses will be given a short interview and in turn reveal all their style secrets to budding fashionistas.

So far the iconic Fashion East and designer Hannah Marshall, Lulu Kennedy, the drummer of The Like Tennessee Thomas are just a few of the famous faces to take to the fashion spotlight, we can’t wait to see what style tips they will reveal.

The designer Hannah Marshall has already let slip that she can’t live with a messy wardrobe and even colour codes her outfits! Every piece housed in her impressive wardrobe is said to be in exact order. Everything item in fact appears to be hung from uber cute matching hangers. However like most women she never has anything to wear!

Lulu has revealed news on her new favourite label, which is Jordan Askill. ‘The designer is said to have produced an extremely beautiful and delicate line of jewellery. Lulu’s most wanted piece is the rose gold ring of 3 interlocking hearts!

Tennessee revealed her signature style to be extremely boyish and she is most comfortable when donning ‘oversized black Legacy’ overalls, frilly socks, and saddle shoes; however she does love her black dress with a white collar.’

The renowned actress turned model Emma Watson has this week showcased a striking new cut.  This dramatic new look comes in the shape of a super short and uber chic hair style.  The fashion savvy crowd and fans of the star first became aware of the new actresses look when she posted a pic on her Facebook page.  The A list actress and Burberry muse apparently took a trip to the Cutler Salon in New York in order to achieve her new look,  the short locks really show off Emma’s pretty elf like features and her hair has been skilfully chopped into a 1960′s pixie style crop.

Emma has reportedly stated she loves the new look and that it feels incredible, all this information was also posted as a comment on the stars Facebook page.  The stylish star has said she has wanted to do this for years and years and only recently decided to take the plunge saying ‘it’s the most liberating thing ever.’

Emma is the latest celebrity star to go all out and brave a short crop – Carey Mulligan, Michelle Williams, Victoria Beckham and Renee Zellweger have all gone to the extremes of a new cut in recent months, but possible the star that went the furthest  is the supermodel Agyness Deyn.  The model really pushed the boat out and went all the way with a daring shaved head. 

Now that Emma is sporting a new sixties style crop she pays a strong resemblance to Mia Farrow and the striking look certainly suits her.

Well known model and presenter Alexa Chung was this week seen sporting an uber stylish and right on trend maxi-dress, abandoning her usual signature short attire.

The stylish celebrity was spotted in the fashion capital of New York wearing a black maxi-dress, the model looked so hip in this low key number that she is bound to make even the most unenthusiastic fashion follower try this floor length style for themselves.

Gone are the floral prints and floaty numbers, the black jersey maxi is having a major fashion moment right now and is the perfect look for summer regarding staying as cool as you look. Alexa also proves it’s the perfect staple for your city wardrobe.

In order to add a little extra to this chic look why not add a skinny leather belt to the ensemble or alternatively, steal Alexas’ style and team with a coloured or patterned ribbon for a more individual twist. Most department stores will sell a selection in their fabric sections Head to VV Rouleaux or John Lewis to buy a length yourself.

Think leather accessories when working this trend as this will add that polished edge to the ensemble. If you can fit all your daily items into an uber cute across the body bag, vintage styles look great with this trend.

Patent leather sandals look great with the maxi dress but if you want to take this look into the evening, then add a pair of higher heels in a similar style.

Finish the look with some statement jewellery, both silver and gold work well and should be layered over one another in order to create that summer edge.
