Models, singers, songwriters, the cast of reality TV shows…they all have the look, they also have a huge team of stylists behind them! So how do we go about reaching such a style status without the hired help?

The answer is quite simple really. Make sure you follow all the latest shows, any up and coming designers, tune into all the fashion media and always create a style that you not only suit but one that you also feel comfortable in.

Wearing a piece that may have cost a bomb and also features on all of the on-trend runways to date doesn’t instantly create a great outfit. If you team it with the wrong accessories or it quite simply doesn’t suit your figure then chances are, you will look as uncomfortable as you feel.

Even wearing a simple piece that isn’t at the height of fashion can be brought up a notch! Simply team with super embellished accessories or block colours and most importantly wear it with confidence!

Having confidence will in fact make you look and feel like a million dollars in whatever you are wearing! Standing up tall with your back straight and your head held high will also make you look like a style icon and one that knows what’s on trend for now! This is the case even if you are donning a past season outfit! Work that confidence girlies!

Further easy elegance can be found in the form of exceptional yet simple monochromatic dresses this summer. Take a look at a few of this season’s catwalk stars in order to re-create a staple ensemble. Whether you opt to choose the caramel leather at Akris, the heavy white yet adorably sophisticated cotton at Derek Lam, or the denim at Stella McCartney, there is one major rule this season and that is to stick to simple shapes that offer a very subdued and neutral palette. This season is all about swapping the festival fashion for a little minimal style and refreshing our wardrobes in a simple yet striking way for the new season!

However if you prone to colour and can’t quite step away from it completely then add a splash of colour in the shape of reds and oranges, as such shades will work to complement your neutrals.

Balenciaga showcased some adorable must-have pieces this season, one of the fashion favorites seemed to come in the form of the oh so simple Carmine leather shorts. Such a piece is a great investment as it works both in the summer, yet will still carry you forward to autumn/winter 2011-12!

If you are going tochoose to keep the colour in your style then keep the cut simple and clean. Choose a vivid orange dress such as the ones seen at Victoria Beckham, Cacharel and Calvin Klein. Keep the accessories expensive looking and subtle for best results.

There are many things that benefit our health, there are also however many things that don’t and slouching is one of those things. We may not think such a small thing makes a big difference, however slouching over your keyboard in the daily grind of work doesn’t just cause aches and pains, news just in has claimed it is linked to an unsightly double chin.

You may think this sounds ludicrous, however it in fact is very true, slouching at your desk in fact causes the muscles in your neck to shorten, which will in fact cause the face to droop slightly.

This is obviously the last thing we want, which is why we have gone out of our way to find a solution to the problem, especially as most of us spend our lives sitting next to the computer

There is a device on the market that keeps you sitting up right, once you have attached it to your office chair. The results mean you will be sitting straighter and your hands won’t slump on the keyboard either! You will instead leave the office minus the achy shoulders and in good form, which is great news if you have a fe cocktails with the girls planned!

Priced at just £7.99 we think this is a bargain!

Fashions are constantly changing and sometimes it can be a difficult task to know what pieces to invest in. There are however a few pieces that everyone should have, such as a good pair of denim jeans, a plain white tee, a black skirt, some black heels and a suit jacket.

All of the above pieces are fail safe items and can be both dressed up and dressed down depending on the event in question.

Jeans are the base point of any outfit, however there are an assortment of washes and shades available. This season introduced an assortment of coloured denim, which certainly added something a little fresh to the world of denim. Colours varied in shade from deep reds and hot oranges to pastel pinks and baby mauve.

Some an item of clothing is a great investment for your summer wardrobe and can again be either dressed up or dressed down. The pastel colours especially look great with vintage sneakers if you wish to add a retro twist to your ensemble.

However if you do opt for the pastel colours it is best to keep the rest of your attire neutral as teaming the jeans with a top or tee of the same shade may cause the outfit to look a little of a washout.

Retro shades finish this look perfectly ad a lot of the designers this year have been introducing such an item in an assortment of pastel colours, this is the must-have accessory for 2011!

Beauty trends at the Golden Globes are always something to take note of; this year’s awards showcased a mix of anything goes hair and make-up created in a painting by numbers fashion.

Hair looks were certainly different and there were a mix of asymmetric down-do’s, seen on the actress Anne Hathaway, Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie and Milla Jovovich. All of the above oozed a definite Hollywood glamour and each wore their hair in healthy, glossy, volumised curls or waves and the locks were worn swept to the front on one side and to the back on the other.

The singer Jennifer Lopez and Julianne Moore went for something equally as elegant but never the less somewhat more low key by sporting a seriously sleek and sophisticated ponytail style; Julianne chose an uber chic and timeless centre parting, whilst Jennifer went for a more definite style which appeared in a slicked-back fashion. She added a touch of her statement bling with one of this season’s must have diamond hair clips. This is the perfect style for a dinner date or a high-end evening out and will go well will a demure dress number.

Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Amy Adams, Natalie Portman, Lea Michele and Eva Longoria all went for one of the most popular hair styles of the season and worked a series of elegant and romantic up-dos. These came in the shape of classic chignons, faux bobs with loose tendrils and softened quaffs, all of the above tick all the right trend boxes when it comes to spring and summer styles for 2011.

Past trends have re-invented the 50′s, 80′s and an array of vintage styles, this season however is rooting the seventies big time. Think of sophisticated chic attire that combines high waists, platforms, suede totes and billowing shirts. Concede in waists are key for this look and little skinny belts work well to pull and number you have together.

For evening swap the smart attire for a glamourously floor length and backless gown in a silk sultry fabric. Team with pointy toe stilettos or alternatively sky high platforms. Accessorise with a cute clutch and a pair of statement earrings to add that ultra glam finish.

Other trends that are proving popular for 2011 is the biker chic look, however biker girl has now gone futuristic and even though many of the pieces were created in leather, they were in shiny silvers and modern metallic fabrics.

Leather riding pants were created with zip and quilted fabric finishes and jackets were tied in at the waist with patent leather belts in contrasting lime and hot red shades. Bags were created in the same style and again were seen in an extremely clashing shade or contrasting colour

After an assortment of endless seasonal dos, Christmas outings and office parties our hair can often feel a little malnourished and over heated. Now the parties are over why not put down the styling irons and opt more a more low-key style.

Think relaxed styling and great colour for 2011 and work Sienna Millers uber cool locks for the New Year.

Sienna Miller has recently been seen sporting a relaxed topknot, which the actress has taken from this season’s catwalk shows, the un-done element of this particular look suits her style perfectly and plays up to her infamous boho look.

This look will not only look uber glamorous it is also extremely easy to achieve, you don’t even require a hairbrush!

Firstly you must rough dry the locks, using a comb back comb the hair gently before gathering up into a high pony tail using your fingers. Pin the pony into a relaxed and playful bun, keeping it organic and undone will create a carefree style that won’t resemble the buns the cabin crew wear.

If you wish to colour your hair go for a beautifully soft and natural shade as this will work perfectly with the un-done style of the look. It doesn’t even matter if your true colour shows through as this all adds to the effortless effect of the style.

Take a few style notes from Sienna Miller and work the right balance of sexy nonchalance. Honey-beige tones compliment blue eyes and an English rose complexion the best

Take a few style notes from the actress and model Jessica Biel, this season she seems to e intent on working the all American girl waves.

Jessica certainly wears such a style well and you too can work a similar look for 2011, simply re-create the stars locks by blow-drying the hair with a paddle brush. For best results use a light serum on the tips of the locks then curl with styling irons as appose to styling tongs. Using styling irons will work to give a slightly more natural and organic flow to the waves.

Jessica has opted for a chestnut brown hue for her locks but this style will work with any colour. Try to keep the look natural and opt for only subtle highlights, in order to warm the style up add a few golden tones to the hair, this will give a sexy sun-kissed look. Clever colouring techniques will help to boost that natural and healthy glow!

If like Jessica Biel you have longer length locks then you should invest in a great clarifying shampoo in order to maintain a healthy head of hair, as longer lengths can often appear weathered.

A clarifying shampoo will work to rid the hair of chlorine, product build-up as well as combating the effects of pollution on the hair.

You should also treat the locks to a series of regular conditioning treatments.

Just because the big chill is here that doesn’t mean you have to ditch the summer shorts, after all what true fashionista would let weather stop them from sporting a great look! The secret to rocking a summer trend in the winter snow is all down to clever styling. When it comes to investing in a pair of shorts, opt for a dark colour as appose to a lighter fabric, look towards tweed or leather materials. Not only will you keep the winter chill out, you will be right on trend for 2011.

Work the layers and cover up on top with a thick knit or a blouse and fine knit sweater. For a daytime look add a pair of trusty opaque tights, when it comes to the evening, defy the weather and bare those pins. Finish the look with a star studded pair of statement heels.

The A-lists have certainly embrace this trend, stars such as the actress Kate Bosworth and Coco Sumner accessorise day time shorts with low key items, such as a draping beige cardigan al a Kate or a simple yet sophisticated blazer like Coco. Finish the look with a cute pair of shoes and this season’s must have ankle socks.

Jessica Szohr was recently seen working a head to toe Tommy Hilfiger ensemble whilst Rachel Bilson opted for a Vanessa Bruno blouse and a tiny pair of designer leather cut offs. Lauren Conrad works a silk khaki shirt and a pair of suede black stilettos with her high waisted shorts from the designer Rebecca Taylor. Olivia Palermo shows us how to work denim cut offs in style by teaming them with a belted Barbour jacket and a pair of black opaque tights. Jennifer Connelly reveals how to work a classy smart style by opting for an Yves Saint Laurent shorts suit
